Today I went exploring about a citizen journalism. The website is http://www.stomp.com.sg/ . It is a site for singaporeans to update all the sinagapore news, any member can update anything into the site. One criteria i used is coverage, the content of the articles i found were quite interesting because its something that doesnt usually happen. For example, a motorcycle parking at a car slot. It was quite enjoyable reading through the contents in stomp, because its basically their thoughts about a certain topic. I chose content as the criteria because it is the main criteria of any article. An article needs its criteria to let the reader know what the user is trying to deliver.
Through this activity, I learnt more ways of how to view an article wether it is a good article or not. Things like reliable and update can determine wether the article is good or bad. I've also discovered more functions of what stomp can do, like opening a discussion for everyone to discuss what they think about a certain topic. Overall the activity was quite enjoyable and iIwas able to keep myself more updated.
Today I even shared some of my views through wiki. I felt quite enjoyable because I was able to share the content of my thought to everybody in class and even the lecturer. It was also fun looking at other people's view as it is different toughts from mine.
